You should be aware of latest trends and technologies being used in your industry, what your clients are looking for, how other top freelancers in your industry are growing their business etc. To explain this “think out of box” strategy, let me show you an example.
Suppose any client is looking for content writer for his product he wants to sell on internet. What normal freelance writer will do is get the product or product description from client and will write simple article about it explaining some pros and cons etc. but what the think out of box writer supposed to do is understand the importance of product and why people should buy it. He will write the content that will attract the people to buy the product by creating curiosity. He will target that audience who are really in need of such a product or those whose problems can be solved with the help of this product. Client will be extremely satisfied with this kind of content writing and will definitely hire you every time he’ll need and also will recommend your freelance services to others in his network.
Present Your Self As Expert

You can promote your self with the help of your own Blog, social media like facebook and twitter, forum discussions in your industry, writing help and how to articles in your industry to help people and serve your knowledge to your blog readers. Every single step you put ahead to promote your self will eventually result in more clients and more quality jobs which will not only grow your business but will boost your income too.
